Terms of Service
Last updated: 27 October 2026
These terms apply when you use Dipper: the website at dipper-search.com, the REST API, and the MCP endpoints. Dipper is run by an individual based in Singapore (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or calling the API you agree to these terms. If you use Dipper for a company, you confirm you may accept them on its behalf.
The service
Dipper returns web search results and the text of web pages. Results come from third-party providers and the public web, and may be served from a shared cache, so they can be incomplete, wrong or out of date. Pass refresh: true when you need a live result. We don't promise how long any result stays cached.
We may change, add or remove features. If a change takes away something you pay for, we'll give notice first (see Changes).
Accounts and keys
- You must be at least 18 years old, or old enough to enter a contract where you live.
- One person, one account. Free credit is for one account per person; creating extra accounts to collect it more than once isn't allowed, and we may remove credit gained that way.
- Keep your API keys secret. You're responsible for calls made with your keys until you revoke them in the dashboard.
Acceptable use
Don't use Dipper to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone's rights, including copyright and privacy;
- fetch pages you aren't allowed to access, or URLs that carry passwords, tokens or other secrets (fetched pages can be cached and shared with other users who fetch the same URL);
- overload the service, get around rate limits or the free endpoint's limits, or probe for vulnerabilities without our written permission;
- resell access to the free endpoint, or share API keys publicly.
We may rate-limit, suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where we can, we'll tell you why first.
Content
Search results and fetched pages belong to their owners. We pass them on as they are. You decide how to use them, and you're responsible for following the source sites' terms and applicable law when you do.
Prices, balance and taxes
- Prices are listed in US dollars on our pricing page. The price of a call is fixed when the request arrives. Errors and empty results are free.
- Dipper is prepaid. The smallest top-up is $10. Calls are paid from your balance; when it can't cover a call, the call is refused.
- Paid balance doesn't expire while your account is open. Free credit and promotional credit have no cash value, and we may change or end free offers at any time.
- Prices exclude taxes. Where we have to collect a tax such as VAT or GST, it is shown and added at checkout.
- If we raise prices, the new price applies to calls made after the change. Your balance stays as it is.
- Refunds follow our Refund Policy.
Availability
We work to keep Dipper running but don't guarantee uptime. The service may be interrupted for maintenance, by upstream providers, or for reasons outside our control. The free endpoint has no availability promise at all.
Disclaimer and liability
Dipper is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Ending your account
You can stop using Dipper at any time and ask us to close your account. If we shut Dipper down, we'll give at least 30 days' notice and refund any paid balance you haven't used.
Changes to these terms
We'll post changes on this page and update the date above. For changes that matter, we'll email you at least 14 days before they take effect. Using Dipper after that means you accept them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction over any dispute.
